Poems

Eventually there will be more here. I am in the process of editing & deciding which I want to share here.
I would not consider myself a poet as such. I find it therapeutic to write it and play with words. I can be more adventurous with styles, formats, and get away with things you couldn't in a novel.

A scribble from a work in progress:

I moved to Dubai on an unwelcoming night 
of ninety-four degrees nearly nine years ago, 
to be warmly welcomed by a stranger from Syria, 
who surprisingly now lives in my motherland 
but is slightly less welcome there.
